A Letter from Father

March 25, 2020

Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord To My Beloved Faith Family, Distancing ourselves from one another physically does not mean that we need to, nor should we distance ourselves from one another spiritually. We can be united with one another through prayer and care for one another. Bishop McClory has asked us all to pray at noon and again at 6:00PM each day. When you hear the church bell ring every day at those times, take a moment to offer a prayer that this crisis will soon end.

Another way to stay united is to do what we can to minimize the adverse financial impact that this situation will have on both St John’s and St Adalbert’s.

Many parishioners have inquired how they can continue to make their weekly financial sacrifice to the church. For those of you who are able, there are three ways that you can continue to make your contribution.

1) You can still drop your offering off at the rectory.
2) You can mail it in through the US postal service.
3) You can go to our website at stjohnbap.org and donate on line by scrolling down to the bottom of the home page and click Online Giving. We will redirect donations to St Adalbert to their account.

I want to thank all of you for the support you’ve shown me and for your love of the church. Please keep me and the St John/St Adalbert faith family in your prayers, and be assured that I remember all of you at Mass each day and look forward to the day that we can all once again be physically present with each other to celebrating the Lord’s Supper.

May the Lord hold each of you in his loving hand,
The Reverend Mark Peres, cpps Pastor St John the Baptist/St Adalbert
