The St. John Winter Festival started in 1976 to celebrate the Bicentennial of America, and has continued to be the main fundraiser for the school. The festival has grown in making St. John into a community that comes together to enjoy the camaraderie of friends, family, and neighbors. The festival is a time for the Whiting/Robertsdale community to gather and reconnect with each other.
The lower level of the school will be transformed into the Wild West! Get your cowboy & cowgirl boots ready to mosey down the halls to enjoy pizza, nachos, beef sandwiches, & sweet treats!
Throughout all three days, the gymnasium will transform into the Children’s GIANT game room which will have games for all ages to enjoy and win prizes. Let’s not forget about the teens! Our Teen Room will have a coffee shop & hang out room vibe.
Bingo & Games of Chance will be offered throughout the weekend. In the evening hours, food, drink & fun will be open to all ages!
We conclude our festival on Sunday, February 23rd with a traditional Slovak Dinner & Grand Prize Raffle drawing. Two first place prizes of $5,000 each.
