9/11 Remembrance Ceremony

On Friday, September 11, our community will gather to remember and honor the lives lost in the tragic events of September 11, 2001, and to recognize the first responders and all those who answered the call to serve.

Please join us at Whiting City Hall as we come together in remembrance on the 25th anniversary of September 11th.

Beginning at 8:55 AM
Whiting City Hall

The ceremony will include the ringing of church bells, the National Anthem and flag raising, music from the Whiting High School Band, a blessing from Fr. Greg, remarks from Mayor Steve, and the placement of a memorial wreath by our Police and Fire Chiefs.

Following the ceremony, all are invited to gather on the third floor of City Hall for refreshments.

May we never forget those whose lives were lost, those who ran toward danger to help others, and the families and communities forever changed by that day.
